Call for Papers on Financial Regulation

The Finance Research Center will help the 2016 Public Choice  Society Meetings organizing a session on Financial Regulation: 2016 Public Choice Society Meetings.

The conference will take place in Ft. Lauderdale (Florida), on March 10-12, 2016. The conference is the ideal place to present new research to the editors of various journals.

We welcome thought provoking papers in the domain of Financial Regulation (Banking, Insurance Asset Management, derivative markets, etc).

Deadlines: Authors shall submit Title and Abstract (150 words or less) to by November 23rd, 2015. The FRC selection committee will review proposals and notify authors by January 1, 2016. Accepted papers shall be submitted to by February 1st, 2016, for review by FRC Senior Editors.


Position Paper

The FRC publishes its first position paper.

Systemic importance of large Asset Managers and Investment Funds

A critical review of the industry’s consultative responses to the new regulatory proposal by FSB and IOSCO

The paper has been invited for presentation to the University of Oxford, the Financial Conduct Authority, the American Economic Association, and the Public Choice Society. The paper was also listed on SSRN’s Top Ten download list for ERN: Systemic Risk and ERN: Banking & Monetary Policy
